(SSA) REFUSES TO ISSUE (SSN) TO A (68) YEAR-OLD NATURAL BORN MALE AMERICAN CITIZEN By: Tar-Paper Shacks

What would you do if you were a sixty-eight (68) year-old Natural Born Male American Citizen, who had never been issued a Social Security Number (SSN) by the Social Security Administration (SSA), in your life; and when you requested they issue you one, they refused your' official request, and put that refusal in writing? Do you think you might consider contacting your' respective U.S. Congressperson, and respectfully request that that Member of Congress make an Official Inquiry to the (SSA), on your behalf, to determine "WHY" that such a refusal was made? Well, you may want to prepare yourself for a perplexing experience, if your U.S. Congressman is the U.S. Representative who represents the 10th Congressional District of Texas. You may have to wait in excess of five (5) months from the time you officially request that he make the Official Inquiry on your' behalf, to the (SSA); and then you may receive a letter just such as this:

As I have not received a recent response to my inquiries on your behalf, I have again contacted the Social Security Administration (SSA).

I regret the SSA has not yet fully responded to your concerns. As soon as any additional information becomes available, you will be contacted immediately.

In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact my office with any questions regarding this matter. Thank you for your continued patience.

Now while all of the very obvious questions still remain unanswered, the least of which is that of just what difference does it make whether that person is a male or a female; would it be too much to ask that Member of Congress some other very important questions, besides whether or not he even knows what gender that person is? For example.....

Would it not seem appropriate for that Member of Congress, who sits on the Committee On Homeland Security; is a Ranking Member of the Subcommittee On Intelligence, Information Sharing, And Terrorism Risk Assessment; is on the Republican Policy Committee; is the Assistant Republican Whip; and is on the Committee On Standards Of Official Conduct; to at least have placed a little more urgency on that Official Inquiry, then what was obviously placed on it, especially without even knowing what gender that person was?

Is it fair to ask the question of; "..if that person has never been issued a (SSN) by the (SSA) in all of those years, then "WHY".."? Is it fair to ask the question of; "..if that person has never been issued a (SSN) by the (SSA) in all of those years, then has that person ever paid any taxes, and if so "HOW", and if not, "WHY".."? Is it fair to ask the question of; "..if that person has never been issued a (SSN) by the (SSA) in all of those years, then has that person ever even filed an Income Tax Return, and if so "HOW", and if not "WHY".."? Is it fair to ask the question of; "..if that person has never been issued a (SSN) by the (SSA) in all of those years, then has that person ever owned, registered, insurred, or driven a motor vehicle on the streets, roads and/or highways of Texas, [at least since Sept. of 1997], and if so "HOW", and if not, then "HOW and WHY".."? Is it fair to ask the question of; "..if that person has never been issued a (SSN) by the (SSA) in all of those years, then has that person ever had a valid drivers' license in Texas, [or anywhere else for that matter], especially since Sept. of 1997, and if so "HOW", and if not, "WHY".."? Is it fair to ask the question of; "..if that person has never been issued a (SSN) by the (SSA) in all of those years, then has that person ever worked at a job or for an employer, where a background check was required, because that job or facility was subjected to governmental oversight due to National Security issues, especially if it was during some armed conflict action with some other Country, and if the answer is yes, then shouldn't both the "HOW" and the "WHY" need to be determined with a high level of competance.."?

These are just a few of the relevent questions that some folks have already asked of this governmental debacle, and they certainly need some definitive answers. However, since it seems by the above stated correspondence, that if it is left-up to the likes of at least one Member of Congress, if the answers to these questions are ever forthcoming, perhaps they will be at the same time that that Member of Congress is finally able to establish whether he is making his Official Inquiry to the (SSA), on behalf of a male or a female. In the meantime......

Perhaps this subject will provide enough fodder to whet the instincts of some folks in Grassroots America, who are willing to ask some even harder questions, then have been put forth herein, and if you are able to think of any, then please participate in this Blogging Process, and ask your' friends and foes' to do the same. Who knows, something of this nature may turn out to have the makings of a very interesting story, from many perspectives, besides just the one connected to gender.
